Financial Analyst 

Brighton, East Sussex

£30,000 per annum

International Education Group, based 3 minutes from Brighton Station requires a Financial Analyst fluent in Excel.

As Financial Analyst, you will provide support to the Head of Management Information and FP&A team, in order to deliver effective business partnering, planning and analysis across the UK Higher Education (HE) division. This includes management reporting, budgeting and forecasting and analysis for decision support.

Financial Analyst - Key Responsibilities:

  • Excel modelling to support the financial evaluation of new initiatives and business proposals
  • Preparation / distribution of other budget holder monthly reports and dealing with queries from budget holders
  • Ad hoc modelling and analysis to aid strategic decision making including 3 year plan process, and ISC strategic review process
  • Supporting reviews of continuous process improvements and ideas sharing across the team
  • Drive discussions with some of the centres around month end results and future plans

Planning

  • Production & maintenance of robust excel budgets and forecast models for a range of centres in our Higher Education network
  • Gather and analyse data to understand trends for the future years
  • Loading and reconciliation of all budget and forecast data (financial and non-financial) to finance system

As Financial Analyst will have proven management reporting and financial analysis experience along with strong analytical and problem solving skills.  You will be expected to have strong Powerpoint presentation skills and with that the ability to communicate effectively with financial and non-financial staff is key.

You will be a Graduate or undertaking / looking to undertake a recognised accounting qualification.
