CircleBath, part of CircleHealth, a listed innovative healthcare business are currently recruiting a commercial Finance and Contracts Manager to lead the finance team and advise the board on potential business opportunities and improvements.

Detailed Job Description

  • As a key member of the Executive Board and Senior Management team, the Finance and Contracts Manager will be required to contribute to the overall development and implementation of CircleBath's strategy.
  • The main duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Executive Board of the Hospital in all decision making by providing appropriate and timely financial support, guidance and advice.
  • Evaluating, planning and implementing business efficiency and producing commercial evaluations to drive executive decision making.
  • Delivery of all financial, management and performance reporting, including appropriate analysis.
  • Continual review and proactive development of all business reporting and analysis.
  • Taking responsibility for appropriate and effective financial controls, management and timely reporting of cashflow.
  • Management of contracts and performance against these, being accountable for the delivery of contractual 'rules' across all payor groups.
  • Supporting the GM with sponsoring CCGs on all aspects of the contracts, including support with negotiation strategies and guidance to internal teams in line with this, and any arising queries or disputes within these agreements
  • Leading the Budgeting and Forecasting process, coordinating the production of all required analysis, interpretation, commentaries and presentations.
  • Control and maintenance of the hospital Fixed Asset Register ensuring appropriate tracking and identification of company assets.
  • Supporting Group Finance in the external annual audit processes, carrying out adhoc checks as appropriate.
  • Taking ownership and continual review of Company controls, policies and procedures, with particular reference to ordering and spend approval.
  • Preparation of business cases for all capital purchases.
  • Leading, managing and developing the finance team.

Candidate's Profile

The ideal candidate for the Finance and Contracts Manager position will be:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with sufficient PQE to demonstrate competence and capability to deliver the demands of the role.
  • Commercially astute and able to evaluate and identify business opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Knowledgeable of private sector healthcare and/or NHS contracts, especially at board level.
  • Familiar working in a complex customer facing environment.
  • A proven leader with a strong history of inspiring, managing and leading a team
  • Technically strong in financial and control management.
  • It is essential for this person to have a calm, considered and empathetic attitude towards patients, relatives & colleagues and lead by example.

What's on offer

By Joining CircleHealth as Finance and Contracts Manager, you will receive the following:
A Basic salary of £65,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits including auto enrolment pension scheme.
The role will be based 6 miles South of the Bath city centre commutable from Swindon, Chippenham, Trowbridge and Bristol.
