The Disabilities Trust is a leading national charity providing innovative rehabilitation, care and support for people with profound physical impairments, acquired brain injury and learning disabilities as well as children and adults with autism.


Due to a restructure of the Finance department, we at The Disabilities Trust in Burgess Hill, are looking for an experienced Financial Planning Analyst to take on this new role within our diverse Finance team.

In this post, your main purpose will be to lead in the short, medium and long-term financial planning of the organisation and provide in-depth financial analysis to support critical decision making. You will be a key part of our team, making valuable recommendations across the board.
This position is also a leadership role where you will provide support to the Finance Manager, potentially deputise for them when necessary, as well as managing our Assistant Financial Planning Analyst.


Key tasks and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

•    Leading financial planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining, and evaluating information and recommending actions
•    Building financial database to support financial planning of the organisation
•    Preparing financial reports on unit/cost basis by collecting, formatting, analysing, and explaining information
•    Defining financial situations by completing quantitative analyses
•    Managing the production and publication of the annual budgets
•    Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and actionable insight on the key drivers of the company’s performance

You must be proactive and a forward thinking planner with the ability to multi-task and prioritise as well as being an excellent communicator, who can break down complex financial information for both finance and non-finance professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a financial qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification practical experience, have excellent people and performance management skills, advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ideally knowledge and experience of ‘SUN accounts and Q&A’.

35 hour week Monday to Friday 09.00-17.00
