Financial Controller

We are a fast-growing Private Equity backed healthcare services business operating across London and the South East, based in South West London, turnover £20m.

Reporting to the CFO, managing a team of 2 other staff, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the finance department. As well as the day to day management, there is a requirement following a recent PE backed Management Buyout, to improve processes and disciplines within the finance function, strengthen systems and controls, and to accelerate and improve management reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentary
• Production of Weekly KPIs
• Cash flow management
• Payroll of circa 700
• Invoicing, credit control, purchase ledger
• Corporation tax
• Administration of financing loans
• Group consolidation
• Supporting the budget and forecasting process
• Liaison with bank and auditors
• Streamlining and improving finance processes
• Strengthening internal controls

Desired skills and experience:

• Qualified Accountant
• Proven team manager
• Able to deliver to targets and deadlines
• Hands-on
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong IT skills (main systems are Excel, Sage 50 Professional, Sage payroll)
• Knowledge of accounting standards
