We are looking for a Commercial Planning Analyst to join our thriving Finance team. This is a great opportunity to work across our convenience accounts; provide reporting, analysis and sales data management support, to develop performance analysis and build future forecasts
The role responsibilities include;
- Ensure robust administration and accounting of sales investments, especially promotions, including promotion setup, invoice validation and deduction management
- Run the period close process for each category/ account in respect of Sales P spend including accruals management and PY balance reconciliations
- Own data reporting for the relevant accounts, including standard reports on a weekly and monthly basis, plus ad hoc requests.
- Support Business Partners to translate sales account initiatives into accurate sales data forecasts in the system, for promotions, new products and other initiatives, including Triggers and Net Invoice prices (including NPD)
- Support Business Partners to determine the performance of historic sales promotions and record the sales uplifts accurately in the system ("actualisation")
Functional Competencies:
- Financial Reporting - Provide timely and accurate information for management reporting; generate insightful and significant business analysis
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Leverage insight of key business drivers to propose and execute action plans to enhance business performance
- IT Management: Leverage technology resources against business priorities
Key Skills and Experience
- CIMA or ACCA ( Minimum Part Qualified)
- Experience of working in an FMCG or Blue Chip organisation
- Experience working closely with commercial teams would be highly desirable
- Advanced Excel skills, e.g. comfortable with Pivots and V-Lookups & accounting
- Strong financial planning and forecasting skills
- Strong experience of performance analysis and advising on productivity improvement
- Good knowledge of financial systems
