Now more than ever, eyes are on Government Finance.  We are central to one of the Government’s priorities - preparing the economy to be resilient as we exit the EU and ready for the transition that will follow.  This means that every government department has to maintain its commitment to fiscal discipline, enable value for money in public spending and identify the key areas for investment that are going to support the economy and deliver essential public services. In headline terms, we manage over £750 billion expenditure per annum, alongside management of £1,450 billion of assets and £3,500 billion of liabilities.

Successful candidates will be qualified finance professionals, who are strong, credible and authentic leaders. They will demonstrate the ability to lead teams to deliver, have a strong track record of building excellent stakeholder relationships, demonstrate confidence and credibility and have a successful track record of delivering transformational change. Scale and the ability to work in complex environments is important but sector is not; we are looking for leaders.  You will make a real impact on the work that we do and deliver outcomes that can positively impact people’s lives.
