Management Accountant
£47,801 - £50,702 per annum
Chelmsford, Essex
We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the small Finance team at Writtle University College, in the role of Management Accountant. The role assumes a high level of responsibility and reports directly to the Director of Business and Finance.
You will be a qualified accountant with previous post qualification experience, working in a similar role, preferably, but not necessarily, within the Education sector. You will be someone who rises to a challenge and is motivated by effecting change.
This is an exciting time for the institution, having just acquired university title. It is also an exciting time for the Finance team as it re-shapes itself to move forward more progressively.
The individual who comes into this role will be working in a fast-paced and evolving environment, where they will be required to influence change and work to tight deadlines.
This is a business-partnering role, working closely with other departments and other stakeholders across the University College and as such, it demands extremely good communication skills. You are required to have a high level of IT literacy (advanced Excel and reporting software) and there is the opportunity to work with the University College’s software developers on the implementation of a new Budget and Forecasting model. It is also envisaged that you will play a role more widely in the continual development of improved processes within Finance.
Closing date for applications: 26 January 2017.
Interview date: 2 February 2017.
