This Management Accountant position is a challenging role based within a busy manufacturing environment based in Runcorn you will be working to analyse and increase profits and streamline accountancy processes. You will be working alongside a financial controller supporting business growth and a new product line.

Description

The Management Accountant is responsible for the provision and interpretation of financial and management information to support and inform the local management team in the day to day management of the business. The Management Accountant will report on typically £25-£50m of revenue depending on business segment including preparation of monthly management reporting, quarterly forecasts and annual business plans.

*Preparation of business overhead monthly management accounts and reporting packs including full commentary and analysis.

*Completion of weekly cash forecasts and attending operational meetings

*Completion of quarterly rolling forecasts and annual plans and forecasts for business segment.

*Balance sheet analysis.

*Product costing

*WIP accounting

*Monitoring the daily, Purchase Ledger, Bank reconciliations, Journals, Payroll etc

Profile

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant from a manufacturing accountancy background;

*You must be studying or in a position to study a professional finance qualification i.e. CIMA/ACCA/ACA.

*Ideally have experience in a commercial or management accounting role in a position of similar responsibility.

*Financial modelling skills (including macros) and a detailed understanding of financial forecasting is advantageous.
