Financial Controller job in Oswestry for SME paying up to £50,000
Hays are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a privately owned SME in Oswestry to recruit a new Financial Controller. The business has been trading for nearly 30 years and shown growth and significant profitability.
Due to continued growth the business is seeking to appoint a Financial Controller to support the Managing Director and Board. The Financial Controller will be responsible for bringing Management Accounting in-house from the auditors and providing meaningful MI and commentary in a timely manner. The role holder will manage staff and ensure that the department runs as efficiently as possible. This will involve making improvements to systems, controls and procedures. The Financial Controller will be given full support by the Board to make any changes necessary. As this is an SME the Financial Controller will also assist in other areas where possible including HR, IT and Purchasing. Previous experience of foreign currency would be advantageous as well as having dealt directly with banks.
In order to succeed you should evidence several years in a broad senior finance role and be able to hit the ground running without requiring supervision. You should be a strong communicator to understand what information the senior management team require and translate this into Management Reporting and KPI's.
As the Financial Controller you will join a growing SME with no debt and cash in the bank who have a clear growth strategy and potential acquisitions lined up. The business will pay a competitive salary of up to £50,000 with a progression plan of promotion to Financial Director within a couple of years.
