Commercial Finance Manager - £40- £50k - Reading


Wade Macdonald has been engaged by one of Europe's largest and fastest growing technology distribution and specialist service providers. The firm are highly acquisitive and have grown by 20% and a multi-billion pound turnover the business is currently going through an exciting period of change and expansion and is looking to add to their teams. They are now looking for a Commercial Management Accountant to report into the Financial Director and the MD of retail. The Commercial Management Accountant will look after the key accounts of the business and will be partnering directly with the senior member's of the business and their teams to assist validating all supported sales transactions and claiming back-end support to vendors, in which you will be responsible for.

Responsibilities
*Develop a thorough understanding of the P&L and the drivers of profitability
*Accountable for profit margins and revenue recognitions
*Proactively Development of services business P&L and implement in enterprise team to ensure budget is delivered.
*Provide support to B2B sales team in negotiation and regular tracking of customer rebate schemes to ensure schemes are driving the desired behaviour.
*Working closely with Business Manager, Category Managers and Sales Manager identifying opportunities to maximise profitability
*Assisting with weekly, monthly and quarterly targeting of individuals, calculating commissions.
*Full ownership of vendor rebates and customer rebates tracking and validation process
*Assist in driving annual budget process and regular profit forecasts.
*Ensure the business is familiar with key variances and work with them to maximise opportunities.
*Full responsibility for the preparation of the retail division PL and KPI's around the customer/vendor, including other overheads allocated.
*Provide ad-hoc support to the sales/commercial business leads as required.

This might include but is not limited to work on customer tenders, reviewing customer rebate schemes and preparing business cases for new initiatives as required.

The Candidate
*ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant
*Strong interpersonal skills; you will part of a team that is the face of finance in Basingstoke.
*Self-motivated and results driven.
*Proven track record in financial analysis and interpretation skills.
*Excellent Excel skills (experience with VBA also desirable).
*Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
*Experience in a FMCG/ Retails or distribution environment is desirable.
*Familiarity with Oracle, SAP and Qlikview is desirable.
*Willing to travel from time to time to key client account meetings
