Tax Accountant - Berkshire - £45-50k
Wade MacDonald have recently joined forces with a Global Pharmaceutical company who looking for an experienced and qualified Tax Accountant for this key role, working within their Global Tax team in their Berkshire Head Office.
This position will play a strategic role in the tax planning, policy and compliance for the group. The Tax Accountant will report directly to the VP of Tax who is also based in their head office.
As a highly experienced and qualified accountant you will have experience of auditing as well as tax experience.
This critical role will be responsible for ensuring that they have integrity in reported numbers and that the results reflect the state of the financials of the business.
Ensuring that the tax compliance (direct and indirect taxes) is in accordance with local legislation and company policies. This will involve liaising with external advisors for the preparation and submission of other returns.
Ensuring that statutory accounts and audits are completed in accordance with local requirements and company policies. This will involve liaising with external advisers and auditors.
Developing and administering tax policies for the group, minimising overall tax liabilities and ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
Assisting in tax planning for all entities including conceptualisation, implementation and monitoring.
Providing comprehensive tax support for acquisitions and business reorganisations.
Providing leadership and guidance to monthly financial closing process for tax including updating tax provision schedules.
Locating all statutory accounting information within the ERP system and compiling for the local and regional accounts.
Booking Journals to Tax Accounts.
Tax account reconciliations
Following up on tax legislation changes and identifying tax opportunities.
Newly Qualified ACA accountant with an excellent academic record
"Big 4" accounting firm experience is preferred but not a must have.
2 Year PQE minimum
Tax knowledge and experience working on tax returns and filings would be advantageous
Experience with accounting reconciliations.
Strong technical accounting knowledge.
Advanced communicator to exec level.
Strong IT skills, advanced excel skills (experience with using ERP systems is required) .
