Alexander Daniels are excited to be recruiting for a fast growing and entrepreneurial business based in Daventry for a Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities
* To support the board in the implementation of the strategic plan, providing strategic, entrepreneurial input to make a positive impact on the development of the business.
* To attend Board meetings, providing the Board with regular, accurate and informative management and financial information which informs them of the business's position.
* To implement and oversee active balance sheet management, to support the speed and quantum of growth of the business desired by the Board.
* To assist in the structuring of the business for potential corporate activity which could include additional equity or debt finance, or a full or partial exit by existing investors, and to take a lead management role in such activity.
* To play a lead commercial role in internationalising the business, providing commercial valuation and negotiation input into selling to other countries.
* To oversee all aspects of financial accounting and control, all financial records, systems, statutory returns and management information, including quarterly audits, managing one Finance Administrator (to be recruited)
* To manage relationships with auditors and other external advisers to the business, ensuring they are successful and adding maximum value.
Knowledge, skills & experience required:
* We need a driven, self-motivated, entrepreneurial and ambitious person, preferably a qualified member of a relevant professional accounting body, ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
* Credibility at Board level.
* Able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and accept the challenges and opportunities.
* Able to present ideas in a constructive manner and the strength of character to debate the merits of a proposal when challenged.
* To possess sound commercial judgement.
* A strong communicator with excellent leadership qualities.
* Excellent reporting skills.
