International Property Management / Construction company is looking for a commercially-minded Analyst to join their EMEA Finance team based in Central London.

 

This role will sit in the Leasing Finance team of 6 and report to the Leasing Financial Controller, and will business partnering support to the Leasing department, including all aspects of management reporting, financial analysis and decision support.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive monthly leasing packs including YTD and FYF net rent variance analysis, and monthly leasing capex reporting
  • Assist the Financial Controller of Leasing and Leasing Finance Managers in preparing the monthly Risks & Opportunities analysis for Leasing and liaise with the Reporting team
  • Take a lead role in preparing monthly actuals and forecast for leasing related non-recoverable costs including leasing fees and leasing legal costs (at both an Operational and Corporate level)
  • Maintain the leasing database (AX system) with current year and future opportunity leases including updates from the respective Leasing Executives at weekly Leasing meetings. Ensure all AX data updates are completed in accordance with agreed timetable and report on the impact on billings and forecasts.
  • Assist the Financial Controller of Leasing and Leasing Finance Managers in preparation, analysis and communication of the leasing elements of the six-monthly Long Term Forecast presentations (May-LTF, November Budget)
  • Assist the Leasing Finance Managers in preparation and analysis of leasing metrics in relation to Rent Reviews and Developments as applicable
  • Assist the Reporting team with any leasing related queries from auditors during year end and half year audit.
  • Support the Financial Controller of Leasing in any adhoc projects and/or implementation of strategies to improve leasing metrics and performance.
  • Assist the Leasing Finance Managers with the preparation of the Monthly Rent Acceleration reporting.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) essential
  • Strong preference for University education
  • Strong commercial / analytical experience essential, including proven evidence of business partnering non-finance teams
  • Strong preference for Property experience, although this is not essential. However candidates must be able to demonstrate a commercial understanding of leases, rents and the key financial drivers in the property management sector
  • AX Dynamics experience would be an advantage but is not essential. However strong Excel skill is a necessity.
  • Excellent communications skills are essential
