Taxation & Assurance Manager

Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently recruiting a Taxation & Assurance Manager exclusively for a business based near Burntwood.

The Taxation & Assurance Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• To ensure the group remains tax compliant in all areas
• To be the custodian of the Senior Accounting Officer process
• To provide practical business advice regarding corporation tax, VAT, PAYE, Stamp Duty and other relevant taxes
• To prepare and submit corporation tax computations for each statutory entity in a timely fashion
• To review quarterly VAT returns for completeness and accuracy
• To review property transactions for VAT and stamp duty compliance
• To maintain compliance on employee expense policy in line with PAYE dispensation agreement or similar
• To advise on and review annual PAYE settlement agreement
• To advise on withholding tax where applicable
• To complete business assurance reviews in areas to be agreed with CEO/CFO/COO and the Taxation & Assurance Manager will write reports for the Audit Committee. Dotted line responsibility to Chair of Audit Committee.

The Taxation & Assurance Manager will report directly into the CFO of the business. You will sit on the senior management team and your key stakeholders will be the finance team, the wider business and external advisers to the Group.

The role requires a candidate who possesses a relevant qualification.
