Finance Business Partner

Elevation Senior Finance are currently recruiting a Finance Business Partner on behalf of dynamic business in Leeds. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager you will provide full financial and commercial decision support, specifically acting as Finance Business Partner to the operational team.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Driving optimum financial performance from the acquired business and in embedding a culture of Finance being a trusted business partner throughout the organisation
* Assessing & making recommendations on the resource requirements for the Finance Business Partnering and lead this team in providing a full financial, commercial and administrative support and decision support service to the Operational Director
* Providing relevant and timely periodic reporting, sufficient to enable the management team to understand commercial performance against key levers and KPIs
* Providing financial support in evaluating commercial and financial proposals (including bid pricing and offers) ensuring expected business returns are targeted and achieved
* Pro-actively investigate variances in expected commercial performance, whether positive or negative, to identify the root cause and pro-actively inform and, as necessary lead in taking corrective action, pro-actively engaging colleagues from across the business
* Evaluating segmental profitability by area, facility and service provision / product to ensure financial returns are maximised
* Supporting the business in investment appraisal of commercial and operational proposals and subsequent monitoring to ensure delivery of expected benefits
* Monitoring national and local competitor activity both current and future proposed, identifying market trends, threats and opportunities to counter them
* Providing commercial and analytical support as required to support the wider business, including ongoing portfolio reviews, acquisitions and disposals, leveraging local and national market knowledge
* Play a key role in supporting senior finance colleagues in developing the wider finance team to play a full business partner support service, recognised as excellent by colleagues across the business

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with significant post qualification commercial experience in a large fast paced environment. You must have experience of working in a business facing finance business partnering role.
