Finance Manager

My exclusive Import/Distribution sector client, based in Preston, is a growing and profitable privately owned group of companies, t/o £15m.

Due to the ongoing growth and development of the business, the part time FD now seeks to recruit a full time Finance Manager to "hands on" manage the day to day Accounts function.

Reporting jointly to the FD and MD, the newly appointed Finance Manager will be responsible for:

* Managing and developing a small Central Finance team.

* Upgrade the current Sage 50 system to Sage 200 and implement all necessary new accounting processes.

* Production of accurate and timely financial and management reports, including consolidated monthly Management Accounts with supporting commentary for this group of integrated companies.

* Ensure the daily financial accounting routines are performed in a timely and efficient manner.

* Efficient Credit Control & Cash-flow management, including regular liaison with Bank to ensure covenants are being met at all times.

* Support the production of annual budgets and regular forecasting.

* Production of year end Statutory accounts. 

The successful candidate will be a "hands on" accountant with a strong and broad range of accounts reporting experience.

You are likely to either have a Practice background seeking your 1st or 2nd move into Industry; or alternatively looking to build on your strong background in Industry/Commerce and now looking for your next career opportunity.
