An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join our client, based in London
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
-
Prepare and distribute reconciliations: Trade data to Subledger recs; Subledger to Ledger recs, Intergroup reconciliations, other as allocated
· Monitor balances in key control accounts, suspense, other as allocated, and follow up on outstanding balances in control accounts
· Identify the breaks, including Intergroup breaks, discrepancies and inconsistencies, document and monitor the remediation action plan for those issues.
· Support and assist with the sub-branch, transit and account opening process for Capital Markets within the general ledger and sub-ledgers
· Support Month end close process
· Perform system integrity checks as assigned.
· Prepare relevant MIS and KPIs where required.
· Assist with the investigation of Adhoc queries.
· Review and arrange transfer pricing payments.
· Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes/skills:
Qualified or Part-qualified Accountant
· Experience in reconciliations, investigations and resolution of the unreconciled items
· Working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles
· Strong analytical skills
· Strong PC skills, and in particular, the advanced ability in Excel is essential, familiarity with Access desirable
