My exclusive global manufacturing client, based in Flintshire, is currently looking to appoint a Financial Analyst to provide effective support to corporate global finance initiatives. The business is widely recognised as a highly reputable market-leading innovator in their sector.
The role will drive improvements to the various business systems and help to establish a thoughtful, yet concise forecasting process for the local business. Representing finance, this role will drive cost awareness across the business supported by comprehensive detail of products, customers, and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the annual budget process
- Sustaining the monthly forecast cycle
- Endorsing the long term strategic forecast process
- Driving improvements to various local and corporate financial reporting systems
- Supporting other finance ad-hoc analyses and projects such as: headcount reviews, R&D spending reviews, Capital Expense planning and investment, working capital analysis, product margin analysis.
- To provide the business with support for undertaking market data analysis on an as required basis providing trending data and defining new market activities and business direction.
Personnel Specification:
Candidates will be Graduates from finance/accounting or business related degrees, and have an extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel – in particular, use of the following features; Pivot tables, Formulae, Lookup tables, ‘If’ statements, and graphs, Macro generation, SQL reporting and use of data cubes. Ideally, candidates will have strong accounting skills and a recognised accountancy or finance qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA). Previous ERP system experience would also be advantageous.
Candidates should demonstrate a good level of understanding of business processes and their interconnectivity, excellent numeracy and analysis skills and have demonstrable customer service focus, a methodical approach, attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role will require you to operate in a fast, dynamic environment and operate to tight deadlines.
The successful applicant will be motivated, responsive and focused with a high level of attention to detail while working independently with a flexible approach.
