Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with an international business with a key site based in Chesterfield in their search for an intelligent and driven Qualified Accountant who wants to progress to FC over the next 12-18 months. The role is a unique blend of Financial and Management Accounts and includes the responsibility to develop junior staff in preparation for their own step up.

The role is a varied one encompassing daily, weekly, monthly and annual job duties, some of which are included below;

*On a daily basis, manage the ERP system, to actively review the work centre and integrity reports and resolve issues that occur

*Responsible to authorise payments in absence of Financial Controller

*Responsible for bank account detail authorisation within JDE for all vendors

*Support the development of 2 assistant accountants within team on statutory fillings
*Act as main business partner

*At month end be responsible for the following for;
oJournal log is complete and correct and in line with JDE
oG/L to perpetual journal and explore differences, absorption and burden clearing journals, full absorption journal
oReconciliation of Inventory balance sheets, EOZ and Full absorption
oReviewing All Balance Sheet reconciliations prior to Finance Controller sign off
oReview and load all WD 5 data
oResponsible for Intercompany profit elimination for all WD 1 Flash
oAct as a back-up for WD 1 'flash process'
oManage the journals and transactions in the BICA entity, alongside the balance sheet reconciliations
oSupport improvements for P&L and BS drive detailed variance analysis
oSupport preparation of the Monthly Business Review (MBR)

*On a monthly basis, review Assistant Accountants departmental summary of Actual V Plan with detailed analysis of overspends and forecast opportunities and risks and perform analysis for Admin cost centres

*Responsible for Inventory KPI's, with deep dives into problematic areas, in addition to looking at inventory structure within JDE, and split out into current variables, and producing forecasts dependent upon current backlog and potential requirements

*On a continual basis, comment on the EOZ lists and drive reduction of the overall list in LTD

*Prepare monthly salary and respective journals

*Assist with the preparation of the annual study of standard labour burden rates, freight absorption, and material absorption for all units, and preliminary studies to support business planning as required

*Support the monthly, quarterly forecasting and planning processes

*Coordinate monthly the SOX documentation requirements and ensure that we are compliant with all policies and procedures that we are governed under

*Prepare year end schedules for Corporate, Year-end statutory accounts and supporting schedules/files and corporate tax computations for Band-IT LTD

*Support FC with Year-end statutory accounts and corporate tax computations for Band-IT Asia

*Prepare annual FTR schedules for corporate

Ideally you will be a Qualified Accountant looking for either their first move into industry or for the next step in their career. You must be able to work in a fast paced environment have the ability to help drive this well established finance team forward. Progression to FC is expected within 12-18 months.
