Your new company
A Head of Commercial Finance opportunity is available within a US owned organisation based near Aylesbury. This position will see you heading up a large commercial finance team which is targeted to providing detailed financial reporting to their customers. The company prides itself on providing accurate and commercial information to support the services they provide which will allow them to perform to the highest standard in each project they run.

Your new role
As the Head of Commercial Finance, you will be responsible for ensuring both client and company management accounts are completed in a timely and accurate manner. This will mean challenging your team leaders to ensure this is done within the set deadlines. You will be seen as the link between your team and senior management which will mean you will report on the financial reporting to the CFO.

Outside month end, your role will offer commercial support to new business pitches and commercial contracts, offering insight into tender proposals and agreements. This will contribute to the commercial decisions made by senior management. Another part of your role will be to identify new business opportunities and tracking this to create new business.

This role will require client facing meetings to produce financial reporting that will show revenue, costs and variance within live project currently being run. This will offer the insight to current trends and the opportunity to identify sales opportunities.

Following the implementation of a new ERP system, you will be asked to review and improve current processes the improve accuracy, efficiency and performance across the UK business.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you must be a qualified accountant and it is key you have had previous experience in managing a large team. This will be a vital part of your role and will contribute to being successful at this business. Business proposal and client meetings experience will offer you the foundations you need to perform within this role as it will impact the business as a whole.
