The Opportunity:

The Insolvency Technical Manager is a key member of the team, who will take responsibility for ensuring that the department's procedures are of top quality and are compliant with legislation and best practice in a culture of continuous improvement.

Reporting to senior management, the Insolvency Technical Manager will make suggestions for improvements to processes and procedures, and implement changes once agreed. The role may be based in London or Cardiff. It could also suit remote working, although some presence in the office would be required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Identifying opportunities for improvement and suggesting solutions
Updating existing procedures for changes in legislation and best practice
Preparing template documents for use by the department
Responding to ad-hoc technical queries from members of the team

Required Skills & Attributes:

Strong self-motivation and drive
Excellent knowledge and understanding of insolvency legislation and best practice
Ability to explain complex technical matters to colleagues at all levels
Appreciation of day-to-day issues affecting Insolvency Practitioners and an ability to combine compliance and practicality
Good written communication skills
Desire to share knowledge and expertise with other members of the team
Ambition in seeking to develop and improve
JIEB qualification and significant experience in insolvency
Familiarity with common Microsoft programmes
Eligibility to work in the UK without any restrictions.
A good working knowledge of IPS software and/or SQL programming would be an advantage.
