A Private Equity business with a base in Bristol are looking for a Financial Controller to join the business in this newly created position. This already successful business are in a period of continued growth, and as such are looking for an experienced and commercial Financial Controller to head up the team.

Description

As the Financial Controller you will manage all aspects of the financial accounts preparation along with reporting of results to group and statutory bodies in accordance with group and legal requirements. In this newly created role there will be a number opportunities to really make your mark and have influence in the business going forward.

You will lead the Finance team to meet overall Finance objectives and vision. To ensure financial reporting and support to the business is relevant and timely. Ensure the timely input and accuracy of financial accounting entries in accordance with Company directives. Ensure the timely and accurate reporting to UK Statutory Bodies are met alongside any overseas tax authorities. To co-ordinate balance sheet budgeting and forecasting alongside Financial Operations. To provide cashflow forecasting to Group through robust and accurate modelling. To minimise tax risk for the company through compliance and effective tax strategy.

Required experience:

  • Extensive experience in the use of accounting principles (UK GAAP & IFRS)
  • Preparation of accounts
  • Proven Management skills
  • Experience of change environment and implementing best practice
  • Proven experience of using KPIs to manage and motivate teams
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment

Profile

Education:

  • Degree level education
  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
  • Solid Post Qualified Experience
