A Financial Reporting Advisor is sought by an industry & commerce based FTSE-100 plc. If you are a Chartered Accountant (ACA / CA) who is either at Manager / Senior Manager level in a Big 4 / Top 10 practice or at a senior level in the group finance function of an international quoted company then this role is for you.

The Financial Reporting Advisor will report to the Head of Financial Reporting and the role provides the accounting advisory / IFRS support the Group needs on a day-to-day basis, in regard to non-routine events such as disposals & joint ventures as well as at year-end. You will also support a range of global business units (BUs) and will be regarded as an expert in your field. Specific duties include:
  • Deliver accounting advisory services / develop accounting policies to best reflect the Group’s position in line with IFRS and other developments.
  • Liaise with Group and BUs to understand & track likely / significant accounting issues (e.g. acquisition accounting, impairments, reorganisations etc)
  • Assist in the final review of the Group consolidated accounts (including notes, disclosures, commentary and slides for Investor Relations (IR) / Board use).
  • Lead the production of aspects of Plc reporting; e.g. share based payments.  
  • Assist in preparing information for the audit committee.
  • Provide answers to several ad hoc queries that will come from IR, Board etc…
Candidates for the role of Financial Reporting Advisor must be qualified ACAs who are technically strong in terms of IFRS knowledge and who have experience of complex plc reporting. Moreover they will have excellent analytical, advisory & communication skills as these will set you apart. Finally, candidates will also possess good attention to detail and will enjoy solving complex problems.

Rate: £68000 - £74000 + 6k car allowance + >30% bonus + excellent benefits.
