Financial Operations Manager

Financial Services Organisation urgently requires a Finance Manager to join the team on a 12 month plus assignment. Whilst having direct reports you will be an integral part of the finance team and will provide leadership, coordination and project management to other areas of the company as required. The Finance Manager would require experience within the banking or lending industry. Duties include:

o Manage the finance team reporting work schedule and deliverables on a monthly basis

o Review financial reporting in relation to portfolios of mortgage accounts, including the preparation of ad hoc reports and the validation of systems generated reports

o Review and sign-off monthly financial reports for external clients

o Review and sign-off monthly bank reconciliations, cash balances, un-reconciled items and nominal postings across various portfolios

o Managing queries as they arise from clients and their auditors.

o Managing relationships with a range of stakeholders including suppliers, banks, payment intermediary service providers, other mortgage companies etc.

o Review and interpret the mortgage servicing contracts with our clients

o Preparation and validation of the monthly servicing invoices including calculation of the servicing fees.

o Relationship management to ensure our invoices are paid in a timely manner

o Overseeing workload of direct reports’ treasury-related activities, including; cash collections; cash transfers; bank reconciliations; and monitoring account balances.

o Review of weekly workflow schedules and outputs

o Development and management of staff including training and mentoring

The Finance Manager would have excellent attention to detail, able to work to tight deadlines and previous management experience. Ideally a professional qualified Accountant. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
