Senior Financial Accountant

Our client is one of the North Wests most highly regarded and successful businesses - a rapidly expanding, multi-disciplined engineering / construction business with turnover of around £200m and part of a globally renowned £1bn t/o group operating across 35 countries. In a role created to cover maternity leave, this is a 15 month contract and based within the Financial Services team, managing a team of 2 and with the main remit of Financial Reporting for the Europe Group of Companies. Reporting to the FSC Finance Manager, duties will include:

• Management and preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts for UK entities
• Management of the overall Financial Reporting Consolidation process
• Management and review of all Trial Balances within all UK reporting entities
• Co-ordinating the year-end audit process
• Month end journals
• Preparation and review of key Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Assist in the monitoring of Internal Controls and SOX implementation projects

Applicants must be fully qualified Accountants (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with up to date knowledge of IFRS as well as strong project management, analytical, organisational and problem solving skills. In this highly visible, key role within the finance team, good communication skills are essential as is the ability to multitask and complete assignments within the time constraints of this fast paced organisation.
