A market leading specialist in their field, my client based in central Reading are looking for a Part Time Credit Controller, to work closely with the Finance Manager to take on a wide ranging and varied role within their business support team. The ideal candidate will be a presentable, hard-working and articulate individual who wants to work in a fast paced, rapidly growing, people focussed business, and be happy to working in a busy team environment.

This Part Time Credit Controller role is a varied role that will require a motivated, enthusiastic individual to cope with a diverse workload, and being able to work under pressure. Due to the nature of the business you will need to have the confidence to build quick relationships. You will be working in a small but experienced finance team, whilst working closely with an office of over 70 other staff members who all have a passion for what they do. Full training will be given so previous experience is not required.

Duties as a Part Time Credit Controller will include:

  • Calling clients to ensure all invoices have been received & are in process.
  • Chasing overdue debts
  • Resolving queries
  • Liaise with all necessary stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure customer accounts are fully reconciled.
  • Statement & reminder letters/emailed and followed up.
  • Assistance with associated sales administration and other ad-hoc duties
  • Process/procedure improvement

Ideal profile as a Part Time Credit Controller:

  • Previous credit control experience
  • Strong communicator and good at building relationships
  • Able to resolve queries with a satisfactory result
  • Happy to be hands on and 'get on the phone'
  • Able to look at processes and procedures and recommend changes
  • Pro-active attitude.

This Part Time Credit Controller will be employed as a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months, approximately 20 hours per week across 3-4 days, and my client is able to offer an immediate start and can be flexible on the days/hours worked.
