My client is a global leader and is looking for a Finance Change Manager to cover maternity leave. This role will be supporting the Financial Controller on a day to day basis. When you join the Finance team you will need to be ready for some varied and challenging work that really matters in a fast moving business where Finance is seen as a trusted business partner in driving growth. This is a challenging and rewarding role requiring the individual to work with senior members of the business on a day to day basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Partnering and on-going development and improvement of procedures and processes, Implementing policies in relevant areas e.g. capital
  • Work closely with senior management to provide financial support for the business, as well as working across the business to help key decisions to be made
  • Provide regular and timely financial management information and insight to support senior management in day-to-day commercial decision making and assist in achieving financial budget targets
  • Identify opportunities to maximise financial performance and grow the business
  • Providing business partner support to recognise that different areas of the business require different levels of partnering, and managing the expectations of stakeholders
  • This will take the form of providing financial information to assist in contract negotiations, preparing business cases to support bids and providing all management information required by the business to monitor its performance

Financial Planning:

  • Working closely with the Senior leadership teams to agree a strategic plan, and implement the strategic initiatives required to meet these
  • Ownership and preparation of the quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for revenue, operating expenditure, capital expenditure, overheads and headcount, highlighting performance throughout the year against budget targets, and communicating potential risks and opportunities
  • Prepare robust and financially sound business presentations, challenging on key assumptions
  • Use the financial reporting tools to consolidate budgets and forecasts and enable easy and efficient reporting

Monthly Reporting & Variance Analysis:

  • Distributing MI to stakeholders regarding financial performance
  • On-going development and improvement of procedures and processes
  • Implementing policies in relevant areas e.g. capital

  • Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to partner and influence - candidate will have solid experience of partnering with the business
  • Candidate will be a self starter who proactively reaches out into the business challenging (in a constructive way) the business leaders, and queries the results through financial insight and analysis
  • Flexible and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong financial analysis
  • Experience of balance sheet modelling
  • Self-starter, organised and attention to detail
  • Strong process orientation, and ability to identify improvements
  • High degree of proficiency in Excel required and business modelling skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Qualified accountant and degree educated, 2.1 or higher (or equivalent)
  • Experience of SAP & Hyperion an advantage
