The Role
Ensure management are regularly supplied with the appropriate quality and quantity of financial and business data to enable them to effectively manage the business.
Maintain full accounting and business records for the business in accordance with policies and procedures, local legislation and fiscal requirements.
Responsibility for the preparation of Statutory accounts for national and international subsidiaries.
Report on a monthly basis to management, the actual results for the month and forecast information as defined by company financial timetable and requirements.
To continually drive process and system improvements and over time most effective and efficient for the business (e.g. devolved budget and modernisation of existing systems).
To develop more scenario planning and investigate what if scenarios to aid senior management with business planning.
Provide leadership to the Finance department through exhibiting the skills and attributes of a leader in the finance team.
Responsible for the development of the Finance staff to optimise employee performance and develop potential.
The Profile:
Qualified Accountant (ACA qualified with training in practice preferred)
Strong academic record.
Additional experience of working within an accounts function, specifically showing accounts preparation work.
Demonstrable experience of driving process improvements and developing effective reporting.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner across the business at all levels.
Capable of implementing change and influencing the wider business.
Strong excel skills with the ability to build and run models is highly advantageous.
