Company Accountant

A rare opportunity has arisen to join an international, FMCG company within their head office in Bedford on a 12 months contract.  Working in a fast moving environment, reporting to the Financial Controller you will have a varied workload which will see you working closely with all areas of the finance function, whilst being primarily responsible for completion of the monthly financial reports.  The Finance team currently consists of three, including the FC. You will be responsible for: preparing accounts for the UK side of the business, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and pre-payments, letters of credit, reporting, analysis and commentary. This is a hands on role working in a high volume and fast paced environment. The successful candidate will have strong management accounts experience and sound technical accounting skills. Supervisory experience is not essential, but may be useful as you will be guiding an Accounts Assistant and an Assistant Accountant. The ability to work in a busy/high volume environment is a must, candidates from Practice and Industry will be considered, whether part qualified, qualified or qualified by experience.
