Up to £38,000 + bonus

Are you a talented accountant or financial manager who wants to own & control all things financial for a growing group of companies based in Watford, Herts?  We are keen to find someone who wants to develop themselves and become this exciting company's Management Accountant reporting to the FD.

In this role all matters relating to bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, tax, financial forecasting & reporting are your responsibility, including key reports for senior management. In this role you will manage & conduct the financial administration activities to keep the company compliant with regulatory bodies as well as manage claim processing & reporting of the financial health of the group.

You will have worked in a similar role with accounting responsibility & have a thorough understanding of commercial & retail accounting

Duties

• Produce management accounts for Group companies,
  Manage 1 team member & cover when needed – invoicing, payments, etc
  Develop & manage an operating budget & forecast cash-flow issues,
  Vat returns, accruals/prepayments, assets, depreciation
• Cross charges & intercompany transactions
  Maintain records and support auditing efforts
• PAYE forms (P45, P60, P11D) payroll & related activities,
  Provide support in the procurement of services

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

Formal accounting qualification
Good working knowledge of accounting standards, finance systems and procurement processes,
Expert skills in the use of MS Excel for financial modelling & reporting,
Strong analytical skills with an ability to monitor financial contexts & dependencies
Excellent oral & written communications skills

• Proven experience: in a multi-company based environment, of the management of divisional P&L & management reporting, managing accounts, budgets & cash-flow, with software accounting packages and managing payroll.
