Commercial Controller

Macildowie are currently recruiting for Commercial Controller to work for this prestigious and instantly recognisable retail brand based in Milton Keynes.

The purpose of this role is to act as a true commercial asset to a particular business unit providing sound financial control and guidance to senior stakeholders. The role comes with a particular focus on planning and reporting alongside analysis of key business drivers and how different levers are affecting business performance.

You will report directly into a head of finance and provide them with customer profitability analysis detailing findings that will influence and affect future business. You will also be asked to evaluate business proposals for potential risk/gain to the business unit and present your findings to senior colleagues both internal and external.

Outside of these core financial elements there will be an expectation for you to undertake ad-hoc projects within the wider finance department.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) although candidates who are at the later stages of their studies will also be considered, and have previous experience within a financial accounting or controlling environment. You will have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to provide detailed financial reporting and sound commercial analysis.
