The Financial Planning (FP&A) team are very much at the heart of Finance with their Exec board and large Parent as their key customers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the team, being responsible for the trading elements of financial planning (sales and gross profit). The role will include managing processes for preparing, consolidating and approving trading financial plans / forecasts; as well as analysing in year performance. The successful candidate will be expected to use their analytical skills, judgement and network that they develop to really understand our trading performance, giving visibility of the right issues at the right time and supporting in driving performance.
In summary this is a commercial and analytical role and you will require strong influencing and networking skills to work at all levels of the Finance team. You will be responsible for…
- Organisation and delivery of the trading business plan and forecasting processes
- Monitoring performance against plan/forecast and proactively driving analysis to understand, evaluate, challenge and improve trading performance
- Providing trading insight into weekly and monthly business performance reviews
- Aligning and engaging stakeholders across the Finance team, Customer Insight and wider business on sales and margin performance
- Aligning with the Supply team on flow of goods based on sales expectations
- Maintaining and developing financial control and improving policies and processes to deliver efficient and effective planning and forecasting across finance
