Commercial Finance Analyst

Are you a commercially focused analyst with a desire to use your financial acumen to lead on high profile business critical projects? My client is currently looking to recruit for a driven ambitious candidate with a strong attention to detail who can self-manage their time and resource.

You'll be based in Cheltenham working as part of their Commercial Finance team. You'll be reporting directly into the Corporate Financial Controller and provide an effective reporting and analytical framework for the Retail and Trading functions. Ensuring progress against performance targets is measured and risks to achievement of business deliverables are highlighted. Manage the weekly business performance reporting cycle for the Retail and Trading functions.

• Managing the Retail sales and margin reporting for the company
• Involvement with the overall budgeting process for the company, working closely with the Commercial Finance Controllers and Business Partners to ensure corporate targets are met.
• Driving efficiencies out of the commercial reporting area, by effective working with the IT function to develop automated solutions where possible.
• Competitor analysis reporting back to the board and senior management
• Involvement with the implementation of an integrated financial platform (reporting, planning, forecasting and budgeting
• Review and analysis of P&L
• Supporting the pension Accounting function with a number of new projects

You'll ideally be a highly analytical and commercially focused qualified Accountant, with experience gained in industry working in a medium-to-large retail or consumer goods setting. In return you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package.
