Our client is a world renowned organisation within the Banking Sector which has built a reputation through pioneering financial operations and an exceptional track record of success. The organisation is now looking to add a strong Finance Business Partner who can provide effective financial oversight and management of operational cost and strategic investment cost.

The role will offer extensive exposure to senior stakeholders and will require the successful individual to have the confidence to present, review and challenge information. This will ultimately influence decision making to ensure the organisation achieves its strategy and goals.

Key responsibilities will include:

Business Partnering and Influencing:

  • Guiding the business through the various term financial planning cycles and ensuring progress is in line with group operational strategy;
  • Offering insightful challenging within the budgeting and forecasting process;
  • Ensuring a smooth period end close within specified timescales;
  • Supporting senior stakeholders through analysis and presenting it in a useful and fit for purpose manner; 

Analysis and Decision Support:

  • Delivering insightful business reporting and analysis to support decision making;
  • Scenario modelling and forecasting of financial performance at a granular level
  • Being a trusted advisor providing financial insight to support strategy;
  • Working alongside the procurement function to help deliver savings;

Business Planning and Reporting:

  • Proactively identifying business opportunities which drive performance;
  • Assisting in the preparing and presenting of business cases;
  • Ensuring recognised project benefits are reflected in recurrent cost forecasts;
  • Supporting senior stakeholders to achieve financial results.

The ideal candidate:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong background in banking or insurance;
  • Strong analytical experience gained in a complex environment;
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines;
  • Ability to plan project work and deliver results;
  • Act as a role model to other members within the team;
  • Ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders;
  • Experience delivering financial information to a senior audience.
