Head Of Finance

My Client is a well known brand within their recognised filed.

Due to changes within the organisation they now have a requirement for a Finance Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

Key responsibilities

• You will be a key member of the Divisional Finance & IT leadership team.
• Driving forward the internal control performance of the divisional units, including the ownership to ensure the key controls are kept up to date
• Key contact for all Divisional external auditor issues.
• Responsible to ensure all Finance Standard Operating Procedures / Best practice guides are up to date and fitting to the business.
• Owner of internal control within the business.
• Owner of internal control/segregation of duties for all Division-wide IT applications
• Reporting half yearly on the internal control framework of the business.
• Responsible for following up on serious internal control breaches.
• Project manager for senior Divisional Finance & IT divisional team, driving core process improvement projects.
• Responsible for the implementation of the internal control framework for any newly acquired businesses.

Key skills

• In-depth knowledge of internal control, preferably in a Sarbanes-Oxley environment.
• In-depth knowledge of audit, preferably due to past experience in Big 4 or as a senior audit manager within a business.
• Sound knowledge of a lean manufacturing / long term project business, preferably due to past experience of working in these environments.
• Proven experience in a global workplace, preferably due to past experience of working in a global business.
• Strong process mindset with a desire for continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
• Has an energetic and competitive nature who strives for excellence
