Assistant Accountant

The main aspects of the Assistant Accountant role will be to support with the production of month end accounts as well as ensuring the day to day transactions have been accurately completed.

You will be based in new open plan office just outside the heart of Oxford. On site parking is available and also easy access via a number of public transport routes.

They are going through a period of strong expansion where diversifying their portfolio is the key aim. This will be done through acquisitions of competitors.

You will be part of a wider business, reporting your accounts into Head Office based elsewhere.

Description

The main aspect of the Oxford based Assistant Accountant will be:

• Journals and Reconciliations
• Accruals and Prepayments
• Payroll Reconciliation
• Assisting with the preparation of Month End Accounts
• Processing Sales and Purchase Ledger invoices
• Cashbook posting
• Ad hoc month end reporting

Profile

The Oxford based Assistant Accountant is suited for anyone who has an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable or Sales Ledger background.

You will be keen to support the Finance Manager with the running of a subsidiary of a larger company. AAT, ACCA, CIMA students are encouraged to apply, however this is not essential and experience will be just as valuable.
