Client Details

 

My client is a Top 10 firm based with offices in Milton Keynes. The Global Compliance and Reporting Services (GCRS) practice sits within the wider outsourcing practice. Where clients require a range of outsourced services, across multiple countries, the GCRS practice will harness the power of the firm's network to project manage the set-up, scoping and delivery of these services in each location to a consistent, well-defined scope. The GCRS PMO team in Milton Keynes will project manage the delivery of these services once live using a workflow tracking tool as well as providing central delivery of the indirect tax (VAT) services.

 

Description

The role will form part of small team of managers and administrative executives responsible for implementing, monitoring, controlling and managing multi-country, multi-service outsourcing arrangements delivered through the firm's global network of local office partnerships. This is a fast growing business which is expanding rapidly and is a core component of the firm's global growth strategy.

Activities of the team cover the bid, pricing, implementation and delivery of these contracts. The team will be the focal point in the UK, and possibly Europe in due course, for the management of all significant multi-country outsourcing arrangements, working to client relationship holders and to the GCRS leadership in the UK and globally. The team will need to stay closely aligned with the corresponding PMO team in Kansas City and, in due course, in the Far East. The role demands the highly proactive management of multiple concurrent engagements and proposals and so requires exceptional organisational and project management skills.

The role of senior manager/ manager has a number of key responsibilities:

  • Day to day responsibility for the management of allocated engagements working in conjunction with an administrative assistant who will track deliverables on the firm's Global Tracker tool.
  • Supporting Director / Partner team to identify and implement changes in processes and procedures as necessary to adapt to the growing business.
  • The role will require regular communication with all network locations around the world from, both the firm's global office network and client side, to discuss progress with key deliverables. It will also require the candidate to form a strong relationship with the client contract owner.
  • Preparation for and attendance at client Steering Group meetings.
  • Identifying opportunities for the on-sell of outsourcing related services.
  • Liaising with and reporting to the Director and Team Leader for the GCRS PMO team and with the client service team on the client relationship.
  • Liaising with corresponding management group in the firm's Kansas City centre.
  • Supporting the Director / Partner with proposal and client presentations

Profile

 

  • Qualified CTA, ACA or ACCA with a Corporate Tax background either in practice or industry who is looking for a unique, non traditional practice role.

Job Offer
