Purchase Ledger Clerk job for employer of choice on the outskirts of Norwich


Your new company
Hays are currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly expanding and well-established business based on the outskirts of Norwich for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk. The main responsibilities of the role will be to provide a comprehensive purchase service to a busy finance department with regards to the purchase ledger.

Your new role
Key accountabilities include:
Managing large accounts within your team
Producing payment runs
Investigating invoices that do not automatch
Producing payments in multi currency
Statement reconciliations.
Raising claims for shortage, discount and price differences.
Reviewing posting errors.
Monthly credit card reconciliation
Checking invoice reports
Reviewing Accounts payable mail box
Creating New supplier's accounts/updating new supplier details forms
Checking Bank details are processed correctly to ensure suppliers are paid correctly

What you'll need to succeed
At least two years previous experience working in Purchase Ledger environment.
Proven Microsoft skills particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to work well with facts and figures.
Proven experience with liaising internally and externally, with suppliers on the telephone in a professional manner.
Use of an integrated Accounts Payable System.
