Financial Controller job for a SME manufacturing business in the Morecambe area paying £40000 - £60000


Your new company
Due to recent expansion this well established, family run business is seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance department. You will report directly into the Managing Director and be highly involved with the growth the the business. The client provides a comprehensive range of high quality products to customers throughout the UK. The role would suit someone with a manufacturing background who has previous experience of a no.1 in finance role and the interpersonal skills to deal with a range of people in a manufacturing environment.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the

• Production of monthly management accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Cash flow forecasting and budgeting
• Analysis of sales, margins and overheads
• Development of product costing & pricing models.
• Production of MI and KPI's for board pack
• Preparation of statutory accounts and audit liaison
• Managing relationships with bank, HMRC etc.
• Developing internal controls and process improvement
• Cash flow management
• Supervision of accounts staff
• You will also be involved with improving systems and procedures and producing information to assist with key commercial decision making.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified accountant with previous experience ideally within a manufacturing business.
You will need to be a conceptual think who can think about the business as whole.
You will ideally have worked in a number 1 role previously
