I am looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to support my Greater Manchester based client on a fixed term contract basis up until June 2017.

The need for this role has arisen to support with the implementation of a new system and to maintain management of the existing team during this transition time.

Job Description;

Managing 6 direct reports, the role will entail but not be limited to the following processes;

- Full management of team including all appraisals and development plans
- supervising the work of all direct reports to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Production of performance reporting for the accounts payable function
- Ensuring that all creditors payments are carried out and completed within relevant time frames
- Ensure all staff are aware of changes to financial and administrative procedures
- Actively responsible for performance of the team - review any training needs
- Communicate and make decisions involving changes in practice and procedure
- Implement best practice across the team, identify areas for further improvement
- Provide advice to managers and staff on specialist areas relating to creditor payments and provide advice on best resolution of issues and best practice
- Build and develop relationships with internal customers
- Take action to prevent identity fraud
- Transfer knowledge and experience to development of staff
- Compilation, monitoring and analysis of statistical information relating to AP performance

Requirements;

- Previous experience of managing a team of this size
- Excellent personal development skills
- Strong technical and systems skills ( previous experience of a system implementation is advantageous)
-Excellent networking and partnership skills
- Strong AP understanding
- Strong skills in analysing, reconciling and summarising data
- Ability to develop and improve processes
