To maintain;
1. Manage Cash flow
Debtors and Creditors
* Manage to ensure that credit terms are adhered to
* Assist the business development team to drive the form of payment to credit card option
* Resolve queries and build relationships with clients to support the inflow of cash
* Deal with financial technical issues as escalated by the team
Banking
* Oversee to ensure that overdraft limits are adhered to
* Access funds from call accounts to ensure cash flow is maintained at the required level
* Invest monies into call accounts as appropriate within the company cash management strategy
Payroll
* Oversee the financial aspect of the payroll ensuring that payroll is properly processed and balanced in respect of the Region
* Oversee to ensure that all statutory requirements are fulfilled and that third party payments are made
Statutory Returns (regional and global)
* Compile statutory returns for the Region including Tax, VAT, and payroll related payments
* Provide IATA returns as required
2. Prepare Management Accounts
* Ensure that each section of the management accounts balances and reflects the true picture of the Region and that information is accurate
* Present the budget information from all areas of the business (sales, operational costs) and test for reasonability
* Report in writing on variances to budget, with commentary, on a monthly basis highlight potential pitfalls to the CFO before submission to the Executive Committee
* Provide management reporting in respect of e.g. daily cash flow , weekly age analysis and debtors report
* Assist and support auditors to meet deadlines
3. On Boarding New Regions
* Acquire a customer base from the merger and acquisition of a new business
* Ensure a smooth take on of the client that includes
overseeing to ensure that relationships are built with the new client
* Induct new accounting staff into the Wings processes and procedures
4. Manage Department
* Allocate work to the financial shared services team and ensure the proper segregation of duties
* Monitor and measure the departmental performance in accordance with the metrics agreed upon
* Liaise with the team leaders directly in terms of quality standards and take corrective action if needed
* Conduct the Performance Planning Session with direct report and compile the Performance Management documentation in terms of:

* Monitor the functioning of the department and continuously provide feedback, coaching and training to ensure that the finance team performs at optimum productivity level
* Manage staff member in terms of day to day issues such as timekeeping, absenteeism, leave and the quality of work produced
Accounting, formal taxation and consolidation training and experience are essential.
The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years' experience having been exposed to various operational financial control functions e.g. creditor and debtor management, management reporting
