Multi million dollar Services Company is entering an exciting period of change and significant growth. After a sizeable acquisition and subsequent merger into the larger group, there is a need for an EMEA Finance Manager to oversee the transition from overseas and then run the finance team as a regional structure. This leadership role will prove pivotal within the team and support a very exciting phase of expansion.
Responsibilities
- Be part of a team responsible for Transition all accounting functions for the legacy EMEA business into UK from a overseas country, building a UK based team.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy for all assigned markets
- Prepare timely and accurate period-end and year-end reporting packages in accordance with set guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain reconciliation schedules for all assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Perform various account analysis, identify and post any required adjusting journal entries.
- Assist in analyzing and preparing reports, KPI's and performance statistics/graphs that form part of the Finance Pack or as ad-hoc reporting.
- Work closely with the designated business area to support, advise and influence operations with the goal of improving business performance
- Provide constructive feedback on way the department and company can improve the financial results and process efficiencies.
- Provide ongoing support for Management ad-hoc projects as assigned.
- Support the Budget Process & Forecasting if required
- Familiarity with internal controls and compliance
- Assist with Company Secretarial statutory filing, and other non-statutory reporting such as National Statistics.
- Own statutory accounts production, particularly independent management of the roll-forward of dormant entities.
- Lead and develop a team of management accountants/analysts supporting the EMAA markets.
You will possess extensive international company experience within a 'blue chip' environment, within a Controllership role. You will have an autonomous working style and understand how to manage stakeholders within a matrix environment. We are looking for a self starter, who can show demonstrable leadership skills. Ideally you will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACMA Equivalent) with a strong academic record.
