Our client is a global luxury retail business that is on an exciting growth trajectory.

Role Purpose

The jobholder will be fully responsible for the management reporting, statutory reporting and compliance for the EMEA region, comprising of nine European entities. They will coordinate, review and finalise the statutory accounts for the EMEA region. The role will also require full ownership of tax and other financial compliance requirements in the entities.

Nature & Scope of Position

Statutory Reporting & Compliance

  • Coordination, review and finalisation of statutory accounts for all regional entities
  • Ensure a robust control environment and that the EMEA region is compliant with local GAAP and local taxation requirements
  • Ensure that EMEA region is tax compliant in all respects across local markets and all returns are filed on time and are correct
  • High level review of VAT and Intrastat returns and ensure lodgements and payments are kept up to date
  • Assist with Group & Local Statutory audits

Cash & Treasury Management

  • Prepare and deliver Cash flows forecasts
  • Oversee the regional treasury function

Capital Expenditure

  • Monitor and report on capital expenditure spend across the region
  • Highlight any opportunities or risks against approved budget or investment appraisal
  • Ensure projects are correctly accounted for at month end

 

Experience, Skills and Personal Qualities

The ideal candidate profile should be degree-educated; qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA ideally with more than 1 years post qualification experience, working in a technical capacity. They should also have previous experience of preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations within a medium/large organisation. The candidate will be a flexible, self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude.

Qualification / Education: 

  • Degree level qualification
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified

Particular Skills / Knowledge: 

  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Excellent systems skills, preferable SAP
