I am recruiting for a Finance Systems Implementations Specialist for a global financial services company in Surrey on 12-month contract basis paying £500 per day.
Purpose of the role
Global financial services organisation is planning to implement a new Planning and Budgeting system. The existing system is based on Hyperion Planning (v11.1.2.1). The new planning solution will be based on Cloud platforms (e.g. either PBCS, Anaplan etc.). This role will involve evaluation of the mentioned Cloud platforms and providing technical and functional leadership to deliver this programme.
Key accountabilities
- Assist in selection of the product on which the solution will be delivered (either PBCS or Anaplan)
- Introduce and drive adoption of functional best practices in the Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting domain during the requirements definition phase based on experience of implementing similar platforms in other organisations. Shape requirements to ensure a good fit with the selected product.
- Provide technical leadership in implementation of the programme. This includes system integration required between on premise source systems and the cloud planning system.
- Manage external professional services vendor engagement.
- Manage and mitigate any technical risks during the implementation.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience in the delivery of enterprise scale Financial Planning and Budgeting systems. Experience of Driver based modelling required.
- Cloud implementation experience is a must - either PBCS or Anaplan.
- Business focused technology role, preferably candidate should have significant exposure facing up and advising business.
- Six to seven full project lifecycles including lead role in blueprinting / solution design phase
- Strong experience in managing third party vendors, vendor selection and RFP process
- Line management experience, managing a diverse multi-cultural team across different locations
- Knowledge and experience of how large technology packages can be used to deliver business benefit, including knowledge of integration to legacy systems and reporting products and solutions.
