An International Oil & Gas major are currently recruiting for a Lead Accountant (Statutory Accounts) to be based in Surrey.
Role Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of a portfolio of more complex UK statutory accounts and tax packs under FRS101
- Ensure full reconciliations from ledgers to statutory accounts and corporate tax reporting
- Participate in Continuous Improvements projects for UK statutory accounting process
- First point of contact for the audit of the accounts, ensuring all queries are responded to on a timely basis
- Build and maintain close relationships with the business accounts that are being prepared
- Research technical accounting queries raised and document research for Team Lead
- Any other ad-hoc requirements
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Previous Audit experience from a Big 4/Top 10 Accountancy Practice.
- Current knowledge of relevant external financial reporting requirements and developments
- Ability to prioritise work load, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in statutory accounts preparation with strong technical accounting skills
- Experience of reporting processes and systems with large organisations
