This is an extraordinarily rewarding and challenging role for an Accounts Payable expert who wishes to make their mark in a demanding role for a highly successful business.

Reporting at Director level you will be accountable for the successful running of the Purchase Ledger function for the UK business.

This will involve you in:

  • Day to day management of a team of 10 staff with a number two currently in place
  • Liaison with all stakeholders including internal accountants, managers and other staff
  • Responsibility for payments both regular and irregular to payees across the business
  • Management of all payment runs with adherence to all necessary procedures
  • Reconciliations to key accounts
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and, in particular key suppliers
  • Recruiting, training, appraising and disciplining of staff
  • Ad hoc projects in support of the department
