Are you a relatively ACA / CA / ACCA Qualified (Newly Qual to 2 years PQE) with a progressive CV?
We have a Finance Reporting & Consolidation Manager opportunity with a market leading FMCG business investing heavily in its international growth.
Please note, this is not a heads down technical accounting role, it requires an individual that can influence and get out there with stakeholders!
You could be relatively newly qualified Senior Auditor / Assistant Manager within a Top 8 Practice; or alternatively you could already be working within industry in a reporting role looking to step up in to a FTSE listed business. Either way it's important you have a good technical grounding and strong stakeholder engagement experience.
You will be responsible for the consolidation of business unit performance reporting and production of periodic management reporting, budgets and forecasts in addition to the detailed consolidation of interim and year end external reports (including ownership of IFRS consolidation journals).
In addition, you will support the PLC Finance Accounting Senior Manager in dealing with technical accounting issues and the external audit process.
The role acts as a key business partner to both Investor Relations and PLC Strategic Planning & Performance team, providing analysis for both regular reporting and ad hoc requests. To facilitate this, you will be trained as a super user on SAP-BPC data and reporting structures.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong Finance reporting tool skills or proven aptitude to learn
- Good understanding of accounting standards (IFRS)
- Good understanding of financial, accounting and Plc reporting processes
- Good Microsoft Office applications ability: particularly Excel.
- Ideally have hands on experience of the external audit process.

- Experience auditing large blue-chip organisations - strong preference for Consumer Goods or Retail industry
- Demonstrating excellent stakeholder engagement with strong influencing & negotiation skills
- Commercial mind-set, able to connect together business concepts and objectives with commercial risks

- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
