Financial Controller

Investigo are currently partnering with a entrepreneurial SME Media business based in central London who are looking for a newly qualified accountant to join their business in a financial controller role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business who are about to enter the next phase of their exciting growth plans.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will work collaboratively with the entire business and maintain the core finance function. The role will require somebody who can work flexibly, is highly motivated and has a strong positive mindset.

As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

• Continual development of a strong financial control environment
• Maintain appropriate financial procedures and practices
• Oversight and management of the bookkeeping function
• Supervision of junior accountant.
• Manage outsourced payroll & pensions
• Manage the preparation and presentation of monthly financial reports
• Produce monthly financial & cash flow forecasts & manage cash flow & payment process
• Preparation of the statutory accounts, budgets & long range forecasts
• Contribution to the financial evaluation of business development opportunities & ad hoc evaluations as required
• Develop finance functions and role as the business expands.

The ideal person for this role will:

• Be a newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Have a hands-on and energetic approach.
• Have strong financial reporting knowledge.
• Be able to work as part of a team and independently
• Have an interest in the media space.
• Have strong excel skills.
