Finance Officer

Robertson Bell Finance are working exclusively with the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education to recruit a Part-Time Interim Finance Officer to join their team until 31st August 2017. This is great opportunity to join a growing organisation going through an exciting period of change. The role is one day per week and my client is flexible on which day is worked.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the key responsibilities for this role will be to take ownership of the preparation of the accounts using Sage 200 and filing and archiving finance records for audit purposes. As well as this the Finance Officer will need to produce the quarterly VAT return paperwork, accounts payable, credit control and carry out the bank reconciliations.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in doing a similar role, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, self-motivated and a positive attitude as this role has the potential to expand in the future. This role will require you to effectively manage your own time with limited supervision and be willing to learn and pick things up quickly. No previous not for profit experience is required although it could be beneficial.
