Finance Manager

Opportunity to take on a management role within the Oxford finance team. Support, maintain and improve the group's financial systems and controls. Interacting with all staff ad working directly with the finance team members to ensure high level of operational delivery of financial activities.

Working alongside governments, producers and other private sector partners, as well as civil society organisations and NGOs throughout agricultural and forest product supply chains.

Description

Manage all financial and reporting aspects:

• Balance sheer and profit and loss accounting
• Maintain integrity of data within the ledgers
• Authorise journals
• Review and sign off bank and cash reconciliations
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations

Perform Inter-company invoicing:

• Preparation of workings to support charges and netting

Oversee the banking, payments and treasury:

• Authorise payments and deal with bank queries
• Manage foreign currency exposure

Lead on financial planning, reporting and reviewing:

• Coordinate with budget holders to produce annual planning and cashflow forecast
• Ensure accurate and timely generation of monthly management accounts
• Conduct monthly reviews with budget holders to ensure the spending is in accordance with the plan

Support project managers with project budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, monitoring and reporting

Produce and submit Group VAT returns

Manage year-end audit and coordinate statutory reporting

Develop, update and implement financial procedures and identify area of improvement in existing processes and systems assist Finance Director and Senior Finance Manager with providing operational oversight and direct support to the finance team

Profile

• Fully qualified with UK recognised accounting body (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Relevant work exposure
• Experience in all aspects of financial accounting including systems (SAGE line 50 preferably) and strong excel skills
• Proven track record on expanding the use of accounting systems and improving and developing reporting within
• Strong sense of responsibility including high level of accuracy, attention to detail, excellent time-management, problem solving and organisational abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Communication skills of a high standard in Formal/Informal and Financial/non-financial areas
